Spheres of Commoning

From this page you can explore the pattern language of commoning. We have assigned the individual patterns to the following Spheres.

Just click on the links to get to know the patterns or use the graph below to browse them. In Free, Fair and Alive Bollier and Helfrich dubbed these Spheres the “Triad of Commoning.” But because the patterns are an open-ended, evolving framework, it is entirely possible for others to posit additional Spheres, each with its own patterns of commoning. Since completing their book, Bollier and Helfrich have suggested that the 'Inner Lives of Commoners' could be a new Sphere of patterns, as could 'Law and the Commons.'
